Ever the entertainer, Bedi did not miss a beat and immediately switched to his natural comic mode, saying, “Ab challan mat kaat dena”.

On Tuesday, a clip from the latest episode of the popular YouTube show The Bombay Journey, featuring Rakesh Bedi, was posted on Instagram. The caption read, “It’s not every day you see the traffic squad turn into fanboys!” The video showed a fun and unexpected moment at a traffic signal, where police officers recognised Rakesh and broke into big smiles. What was supposed to be a routine stop quickly turned into a fan moment, with the officers praising his work in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’. One of the officers shook hands with him and said, “Jabardast picture hai Dhurandhar (It is too good),” adding that he had watched the film in a theatre and loved it. Another traffic police officer also joined in and clicked a selfie with the actor.

Throughout the interaction, the officers had no idea they were being filmed. The conversation got even more interesting when the officer mentioned that he had also watched ‘Tiranga’, in which Rakesh had starred alongside Nana Patekar, and brought up his work with Salman Khan. Keeping the mood light and fun, Rakesh jokingly told the officer, “Abhi mere gadi ka challan mat kaat dena (Don’t fine me now),” which had the officer laughing out loud.
