When Deepu got engaged, she was studying for a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree. Her future husband, Lokendra Singh, was studying law.Instead of asking her to limit her ambitions, he encouraged her to study law. This advice changed the direction of her life. Deepu enrolled at K.P. Shah Law College in Jamnagar and began her legal education. It was a step that would eventually take her to the judiciary.
