The University of Kota (UOK) has released the official notification for the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (SET) 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from tomorrow, June 14, 2026, through the official website, uok.ac.in.The Rajasthan SET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across the state. This year’s examination is scheduled to be held on September 6, 2026.

The university has informed that the examination for all subjects will be conducted on the same date and time.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates belonging to the General, Unreserved and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories must have secured at least 55 per cent marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a University Grants Commission (UGC)-recognised institution.Candidates from Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Third Gender categories must have obtained at least 50 per cent marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination.Students who are currently pursuing their Master’s degree, appearing in the final year examination, or awaiting results can also apply. However, they will be granted eligibility only after completing the required qualification within two years from the date of declaration of the SET result.
No age limit for applicants
The notification clearly states that there is no upper age limit for appearing in Rajasthan SET 2026.
Examination pattern
The Rajasthan SET 2026 examination will consist of two papers. Both papers will contain objective-type multiple-choice questions.Paper I
- 50 questions
- 100 marks
- Tests teaching and research aptitude, reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness
Paper II
- 100 questions
- 200 marks
- Based on the subject chosen by the candidate
The total examination duration will be three hours without any break between the two papers.
Marking scheme
Candidates can check the marking pattern below:
- Each question carries two marks.
- Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
- There is no negative marking.
- No marks will be given for unanswered questions.
Application fee
The category-wise application fee is as follows:

Validity of Rajasthan SET certificate
The Rajasthan SET certificate will be valid only within the state of Rajasthan.
