In conversation with The Independent, the casting director was quite candid. She revealed that, according to her, none of the names rumoured to be considered for the role is the right fit.She said, “I don’t want to see any of them as James Bond because we now know so much about them.” She also added that the role itself in the new era of James Bond, along with the actor hired for it, must be a “total enigma.”McWilliams worked on the last three James Bond films, hiring Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig to play the leading spy.
