As the footage triggered widespread online discussion, Mouni later clarified her perspective through an Instagram post that has since been taken down.

Taking to her handle, the actress said she doesn’t want paparazzi to click her pictures anymore and made it clear that she never asks for photographers to follow her at public events. Mouni wrote, “Don’t pap me ever pls. I have not called you guys for long enough. Promise to love and respect you, but not call you. Please never come for me ever. Would be grateful. So next time anyone sees me papped, I haven’t called them. Don’t want you to pap me ever at all. Just stop, please. Please. Ever again. All my love and respect.”

Clips from the moment captured her firmly saying, “Band karo” (Stop it), before the car drove off.
