Fans evacuate Bad Bunny’s Milan concert after hailstorm warning

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny was supposed to hold one of his biggest concert shows in Milan on Saturday, July 18. When weather conditions worsened and a sudden hailstorm struck, fans fled the venue to safety. Videos and photos from the concert venue were shared online extensively, showing people running around and panicking as it rained down hard on them.According to reports by a local Italian news outlet, Milanotoday, many fans who could not find any shelter in time were left stranded, and many of them were injured as well after getting hit by hailstones. The 32-year-old musician had already taken to the stage and started performing when the weather got worse, and the hailstorm hit. Fans were immediately asked to evacuate the venue and to head to safety, confirming that the concert for the night was cancelled. A statement was later issued about the matter, along with the ticket status. The statement released by Live Nation read, “Due to adverse weather conditions, including thunderstorms and hail, tonight’s Bad Bunny concert at Ippodromo SNAI La Maura in Milan was interrupted and the venue was safely evacuated. Following careful assessment and every effort to reschedule the event, we regret to inform ticket holders that the concert has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The safety of everyone in attendance is always our top priority.Fans were also informed that they would be refunded the full booking amount that was spent on buying the ticket for the concert.

Netizens express their rage online

As soon as the news broke that the concert would not be rescheduled, many fans and netizens alike took to social media to express their anger about the situation. Many people commented that while weather conditions cannot be controlled, it is unfair not to reschedule the event once conditions improve. One person commented, “Do you realise that some people have been waiting an entire year for this concert and even travelled from other countries to attend? Not rescheduling the show is incredibly disappointing and honestly unacceptable”, while another fan commented, “This was not expected from Bad Bunny…”Another netizen expressed their disappointment over the matter and wrote, “It’s a shame, really, that they won’t put on some extra concert for them.”, while a third person shared, “This thing is indecent. First of all, because the organization should provide for a possible postponement for any factor (illness, bad weather, etc.), and then because there are people who have waited 1 year and have come from all over Italy to see it. Okay the refund, but it’s not enough.” Another social media user commented, “This was not managed properly and now this? The concert should be rescheduled why are they not doing that.”The Puerto Rican singer has been touring venues around the world for his ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.’
