Mohanlal has shared an emotional message as his daughter Vismaya Mohanlal begins her acting career with ‘Thudakkam’. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, the film is getting good reviews from the audiences.
Mohanlal pens emotional note for daughter
Mohanlal took to social media to share his feelings. He expressed his happiness at watching Vismaya take her first steps in the film industry.Mohanlal wrote, “A father’s heart couldn’t ask for more. Watching Vismaya begin her journey with Thudakkam, and seeing the love you’ve shown her, is a blessing I’ll always cherish.”‘Thudakkam’ marks the acting debut of Aashish Joe Antony as well. ‘Thudakkam’ gets a decent opening
Vismaya’s debut film has also registered a decent start at the box office. According to Sacnilk estimates, ‘Thudakkam’ collected Rs 2.40 crore net in India on its opening day.The film was screened across 1,102 shows on Friday. Its India gross collection stood at Rs 2.78 crore after Day 1.The opening numbers have given the film a positive beginning.‘Thudakkam’ recorded an overall occupancy of 42% for its Malayalam 2D shows on Day 1.Morning shows registered 20.92% occupancy. Afternoon shows recorded 22.50%. The occupancy increased to 39.08% during evening shows. Night screenings witnessed the strongest turnout. They registered an occupancy of 59.08% on the opening day.
Vismaya Mohanlal visits temple before release
Ahead of the theatrical release, Vismaya visited the Mannarasala Nagaraja Temple in Haripad, Alappuzha. Her mother, Suchitra Mohanlal, accompanied her during the visit.Meanwhile, ‘Thudakkam’ will continue its theatrical run over the weekend. The film is expected to attract more family audiences in the coming days.
