Tom Holland set to earn USD 100 MILLION for 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' after USD 2 billion box office haul

Tom Holland is swinging into the bank with a staggering paycheque for his role in the Sony and Marvel blockbuster ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. After the film crossed the USD 2 billion mark at the global box office, reports now indicate that the leading man will walk away with an estimated USD 100 million payday.According to The Wrap, three individuals familiar with Holland’s deal, revealed that the actor received a base salary of at least USD 20 million, an impressive USD 10 million increase over his reported upfront pay for his previous standalone film, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.Following the film’s phenomenal box office run, surpassing the USD 2 billion mark in just three weeks, Holland could ultimately earn upwards of USD 100 million from backend bonuses. As the star’s backend deal is ‘uncapped’, “He will make at least” USD 100 million, a source told TheWrap, while declining to reveal how high Holland’s final earnings could climb. The huge payday marks a dramatic rise from Holland’s early earnings while playing Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. The actor was paid around USD 250,000 for his debut as Spider-Man in 2016’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’. He subsequently earned approximately USD 500,000 for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017), USD 4 million for ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ (2019) and USD 10 million for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021).As per the report, Holland’s return as Spider-Man in ‘Brand New Day’ came under a new agreement with a substantial increase in his compensation. If the numbers prove to be true, then Holland, at 30, will become one of Hollywood’s highest-paid young stars.
