EasyJet will stop operating all flights from Leeds Bradford Airport from January 5, 2027, ending its service from the UK airport after more than 16 years. The airline said it had reviewed its routes from the airport and decided not to operate there beyond January.“Following a review of our routes from Leeds Bradford Airport, we have made the decision to no longer operate flights from the airport after 5 January,” EasyJet said in a statement to British media outlet The Sun.The airline currently operates routes from Leeds Bradford to destinations including Barcelona, Majorca, Malaga, Paris, Geneva and Belfast.EasyJet said it was focusing on routes that are most popular with customers, while leaving open the possibility of returning to the airport in future.“We value the relationship we have built with Leeds Bradford Airport and we always keep options for our network under review,” the airline said.Passengers booked on flights after January 5 will be contacted by EasyJet and offered either a free transfer to another flight or a refund, according to the airline.EasyJet first began flying from Leeds Bradford in 2010, launching its service to Geneva. It later added Belfast in 2021 and Paris in 2024.The airline’s departure comes despite recent investment at the airport. Leeds Bradford opened a £100 million terminal expansion last year, adding more seating, retail space and new lounges.Other airlines, including Ryanair and Jet2, will continue operating from the airport.Jet2 is also due to launch new routes from Leeds Bradford to Santorini and Preveza in summer 2027.
