Their differences, which date back to the heated nepotism debate several years ago, have resurfaced after both actors exchanged remarks over their respective views and past disagreements.The latest episode began after Taapsee spoke about her equation with Kangana and said that the two had never actually met. Her comments about their different upbringings were followed by a strong reaction from Kangana, who brought back her “sasti copy” remark and also mentioned Taapsee’s parents. Taapsee asks why the controversy is being kept alive
While promoting her upcoming Netflix thriller ‘Gandhari’, Taapsee was asked about the ongoing dispute with Kangana. Instead of engaging further with the details of their past exchanges, the actor questioned why the media continues to bring up the issue.She said, “Aap khatam kyun nahi hone dete yeh baat? Koi question puchna hum dono se band karega jab yeh wala, toh yeh issue bhi khatam ho jayega. Aap sab logon ko maza aa raha hai yeh sab dekh ke, isiliye wahi sawaal puch rahe hain. Aise sawaal puchna agar aap band kar dete, toh yeh baat kab ki khatam ho jati.”(Why don’t you let this matter end? How the latest exchange began
The recent round of comments followed an interview in which Taapsee was asked about her past differences with Kangana. Taapsee said the two actors had never met, either before their disagreements became public or since then. “I haven’t met her. I didn’t meet her before when these so-called issues started. I haven’t met her now as well,” she said.She went on to explain that her opinion was shaped by her own perspective and upbringing, while Kangana has her own way of looking at things. “My opinion on her is reflective of my upbringing and my way of talking, my way of perceiving things and hers… she stands by hers. So, I think that’s enough for everybody to look and decide who comes from where.”
Kangana Ranaut responds on social media
Kangana subsequently addressed Taapsee’s comments through her Instagram Stories. In her post, she again referred to Taapsee as a “sasti copy” and objected particularly to the reference to upbringing and parents.Kangana wrote, “One Sasti copy is out and about with her upcoming B grade film but as usual only headline point with the media is Kangana Ranaut, but today she crossed all limits shamelessly ridiculing my upbringing /parents, I think all parents do their best and I never bring any parents in to any argument, but today I also want to ask her parents why they couldn’t birth someone original like my parents did? Why a cheap Sasti copy? Feel sorry for your efforts.“Her comments added another chapter to the long-running public exchanges between the two actors.
