Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Round 1: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced the first list of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) under the State Quota for MBBS and BDS degree courses for the academic year 2026-27. A total of 10,509 students have secured admission opportunities against 10,646 seats available across both courses.The first list covers 8,065 MBBS admissions against 8,129 seats and 2,444 BDS admissions against 2,517 seats. The CET Cell has also released category-wise Round 1 cutoff marks for government and private colleges.Admission figures and vacant seatsFor MBBS, 64 seats reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Orphan categories remain vacant after Round 1. For BDS, 73 seats reserved for the same categories remain vacant.Students allotted colleges in the first round must confirm admission by physically reporting to their respective colleges between August 31, 2026 and September 4, 2026, up to 5:30 PM. Candidates must carry the required original documents and a Demand Draft (DD) towards the prescribed fees.Direct link to check and download the provisional selection list only for MBBS/BDS courses-cap round 1 NewThe CET Cell stated that payment through cheque is permitted on bank holidays. However, the cheque must be replaced with a DD on the next working day. Failure to submit the DD on the next working day may lead to cancellation of admission.Category-wise Round 1 cutoff marksThe highest government-college cutoff for MBBS was 538 marks for the Open Category, followed by Nomadic Tribe-D at 535, Other Backward Classes at 533 and Special Backward Class at 534. For government BDS colleges, the Open Category cutoff was 493 marks, while Special Backward Class recorded 484.

The CET Cell identified MBBS as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and BDS as Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Govt. denotes government college, while Pvt. denotes private college. VJA refers to Vimukta Jati-A, while NT-B, NT-C and NT-D denote the respective Nomadic Tribe categories.
