Following the renewed attention, she appeared on several podcasts and spoke openly about her desire to return to acting, even appealing to filmmakers to consider her for suitable roles.Now, almost a year after making that public appeal, Kalpana has taken to Instagram to express her frustration with those who have failed to communicate with her professionally.In a lengthy note, the actor said she has made an effort to remain composed and respectful, even when faced with situations beyond her control. However, she admitted that being ignored or ghosted has been particularly difficult.Her note read, “I have been trying hard to be decent about everything and not get upset about things over which I have no control but it’s not fair to me to be honest because…I want to do Everything that comes my way and I don’t want to be treated like Some DIVA but I expect Decency and Respect that is not asking for too much.”Kalpana acknowledged that not every professional conversation or potential project will necessarily turn into an opportunity. However, she believes that basic communication should remain a part of the process.“I’m Human and I’m not asking for any Sympathy or Special Treatment. I want Work fair and Square and if you Contact me I am Grateful but if it is not Happening Tell me, Inform me, ask me and I will try to understand and Maybe I will try to make Changes and offer Alternatives. You Never Know…It will Work for You and Me.”The actor also clarified that her post was not aimed at any particular individual. She stressed that she remains willing to work and is not looking for only substantial roles.“I am open to work. I have never said no. Just give me age-appropriate roles.
