Shabana Azeez, who recently gained a lot of attention after her stint in ‘The Pitt’. In a recent interview while attending the Emmys 2026, the star opened up about how some actors actually believe that they will be able to perform a medical procedure in real life and how absurd the entire thing is.

While talking about starring in ‘The Pitt’ and playing a medical professional on screen, Shabana Azeez opens up about how some people truly believe they can perform procedures and surgeries on their own without any formal training. While talking to E! Online, Azeez shared, “All these actors are walking around and being like, ‘I could intubate somebody.’, No, you couldn’t. You would panic! The adrenaline would be coursing through your body, and you would pass out.”While also talking about her portrayal of her character in ‘The Pitt,’ she shared, “No, no, no, no, no, because that’s not real. I do panic on set about other things, like when are the snacks coming, you know, real problems. But with medical emergencies, I leave that for the doctors.” She added that in real life, in contrast to her role in the beloved show, she does not feel any kind of tension about playing the character Science; she is well aware of the fact that none of it is true.The 29-year-old then joked about the matter and concluded, “Don’t let an actor do any medicine on you.” I can’t believe how much I have to say this. Stop letting actors do medicine on you!”‘The Pitt’ is leading this year’s Emmy Awards after getting nominated for around 25 awards. Out of the 25 nominations, ‘The Pitt’ took home five awards, one of which was Noah Wyle winning the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series award.
