Mohanlal’s ‘Ram’ resumes shooting after six years; Priyamani shares UPDATE; Jeethu Joseph’s film.

The long-awaited Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph film ‘Ram’ seems to have resumed production after a prolonged break. The shooting of the Malayalam film began in 2020 but was later halted during the COVID-19 pandemic.There had been reports about the film returning to production earlier. However, an official confirmation had not emerged at the time. Priyamani has now shared an update from the sets, confirming that filming has restarted.

Priyamani confirms ‘Ram’ shooting restart

Priyamani’s social media post has provided an update on the long-delayed project. The actress posted pictures from the location on Instagram. In the images, Priyamani can be seen holding the clapboard while posing on the sets of ‘Ram’.According to Reporter website, the production is expected to continue across locations in Kerala and Telangana. According to reports, the upcoming portions will be filmed in Ernakulam and Hyderabad.

Jeethu Joseph had revealed shooting plans

Director Jeethu Joseph had previously discussed the amount of filming required to complete both parts of ‘Ram’. He indicated that the remaining work could be completed with a relatively limited shooting schedule.“‘Ram’ Part 1 can be completed if we have 20-25 days. Another 25 days would be enough for the second part. Overall, only around 50 days of shooting were required,” Jeethu Joseph had said in a previous interview with The New Indian Express.

Mohanlal leads an ensemble cast

Mohanlal plays the central character in ‘Ram’. The cast includes Trisha, Indrajith Sukumaran, Priyamani, Samyuktha, Adil Hussain and Durga Krishna. Anoop Menon, Chanthunath, Sai Kumar and Suman are also part of the project. ‘Ram’ features music by Vishnu Shyam.The film went into production in 2020, but filming was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Production subsequently remained on hold for several years. Now, with the set pic shared by Priyamani, the makers seem to have started the pending shooting for Mohanlal’s most-awaited actioner.On the other hand, Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal’s most recent collaboration was for the film ‘Drishyam 3’ which received mixed reviews.
