Zendaya has come a long way since her early days as a Disney Channel star. From a teenage breakout talent to one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actresses, she has built an impressive career on screen. Her real estate portfolio has grown alongside her career. She was only 20 when she purchased her Mediterranean-style ‘starter home’ in the San Fernando Valley. Later, she added a ranch-style estate in Encino, followed by a waterfront luxury condo in Brooklyn Heights, before gradually moving to the Hollywood Hills. Over the past couple of years, she has added two neighbouring properties in the Hollywood Hills, according to Robb Report.

Zendaya bought a mid-century modern home in the Hollywood Hills in 2024 for about $6.5 million, the outlet reported. The house previously belonged to Ashley Tisdale, the Disney star best known for High School Musical, and her husband, Christopher French. Tisdale purchased the posh home in Nichols Canyon in September 2022 for $6,150,000, Realtor.com reported. Two years later, by mid-2024, she listed it for $6.799 million.

Built in 1948, the mid-century house has been renovated over the years. When Tisdale sold it to Zendaya, the house spanned 4,114 square feet of living space, spread across a main house and a two-storey guesthouse with a home office. The house had four bedrooms and six bathrooms, as an Architectural Digest home tour revealed. The floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors let in the California light. The gardens lean towards Japanese-inspired design, and a kidney-shaped pool sits near the back. The backyard was an oasis with ample bamboo trees and an original circular brick patio, the magazine reported.

The guesthouse office gave Tisdale a dedicated space to work on her interior design business and wellness brands, Frenshe and Being Frenshe.“[Frenshe and Being Frenshe are] about living a nontoxic life, so seeing how that was really going to be the theme for the office, I just wanted to go with really natural textures and let greenery speak. The plan for the office was about creating a really calm environment that feels inspiring to everybody that works here,” she said. “This office is part of the guesthouse, so it’s really a space just for my work, and I think it’s helped ground me. It’s great to have space for my team with me and to just be really creative.”The house seems built to be looked at from the inside out.

Buying the second Hollywood Hills property

Zendaya seemed to have grown fond of her first Hollywood Hills home, prompting her to make another purchase this year. Early in 2026, the actress, who stars in The Odyssey, bought the neighbouring property for just over $2 million, the outlet reported. The 2,964-square-foot fixer-upper has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and original wood panelling. The rustic home has a koi pond in the backyard. The house is an ‘original mid-century modern diamond in the rough’, the property listing says, as reported by First For Women. Reports indicate that renovations are now underway.Zendaya’s real estate history has followed the same rhythm as her career. She bought her first Los Angeles home, a Mediterranean-style house in the San Fernando Valley, when she was 20. She added a second Southern California property in 2019. These hillside purchases continue the same approach: buy, renovate and expand.
