BBC reported that Brand and his wife attended the latest court hearing on Thursday. During the hearing, Laura was summoned, where she vouched for her husband’s character and shared how well Russell managed the business, and shared “The way he treats me, he knows… I feel very seen by him… I love him very much.”Giving evidence at Southwark Crown Court in London on Thursday, she was asked whether he had been respectful to her, to which she had replied yes, and had also commented on how the two had met for the first time in Edinburgh.“I was invested; we both had told each other we loved each other, but it was clear it was difficult for him to be monogamous”, she explained.The actor has been accused on three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one of attempted indecent assault. He denies all the charges and has pleaded not guilty. The charges against Brand come from allegations that were made by six female complainants spanning a 10-year period between 1999 and 2009. According to the reports that have been shared online, Riel Karmy-Jones KC, the prosecutor, described Brand as a “sexual predator” and alleged that he treated the complainants as a “means to an en”.
