Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is set to return to the big screen with the third instalment of the popular crime-thriller franchise, ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’. Unlike the Malayalam franchise, the Hindi film will reportedly tell an entirely different story and has no connection with ‘Drishyam 3’, starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph. While the music of the first Hindi ‘Drishyam’ was composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as DSP Rockstar, scored the music for ‘Drishyam 2’. However, Ravi Basrur has taken over as the composer for ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’. The director has now opened up about the reason behind the change.

Why did Ravi Basrur replace DSP in ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’?

According to Variety India, director Abhishek Pathak was asked about the change in composer during the trailer launch of ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ in Goa.Pathak explained that it became difficult to accommodate Devi Sri Prasad’s dates because of his other professional commitments, including his acting debut in ‘Yellamma’.He said, “If you liked the music of ‘Drishyam 2’, you will love the music this time as well. Devi Sri Prasad’s dates were difficult to get as he is also making his acting debut now with ‘Yellamma’ besides his other projects as a composer. I needed a composer who would have sufficient time to work on my songs and score.”

Who is Ravi Basrur, the new composer of ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’?

Ravi Basrur, who has now been brought on board for ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’, is known for his work on several high-profile South Indian films, including the ‘KGF’ franchise and ‘Salaar’. He has also previously collaborated with Ajay Devgn, having composed music for films such as ‘Bholaa’ and ‘Singham Again’.
