Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan will be reuniting in the upcoming thriller drama ‘Haiwaan’ directed by Priyadarshan. Earlier seen in ‘Tashan’, the Khiladi recalled a funny incident from the shooting of the 2008 film. Akshay revealed what he saw when Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s love story was just beginning.Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan recently appeared in the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. During the show, host Amitabh Bachchan asked Saif Ali Khan about his relationship with Kareena Kapoor and pointed out that their love story started during ‘Tashan’.

Amitabh Bachchan asked Saif, “Aapki aur aapki jo abhi patni hain Kareena ji, unki jo prem kahani hai bhai sahab, woh shuru hui thi Tashan movie mein. Kya yeh sahi hai? (You and your current wife, Kareena ji, started your love story during the making of Tashan, right?)”Saif replied, “Yes, sir. Sahi hai, sir.”The Bollywood Shahenshah then turned to Akshay Kumar and reminded him that he was also part of the film. He asked the ‘Bhooth Bangla’ star what he had seen during those days.
Akshay Kumar reveals the 4:30 am incident
Akshay said that he used to wake up at 4:30 in the morning while shooting for the film. He also revealed that Kareena’s room was next to his. He said, “Toh sir, main subah 4:30 baje uthta tha. Kareena ka room baaju mein tha. Ek din, suddenly yeh darwaza khula, toh yeh sahab nikle. And sir aaye… ‘Kya kar rahe ho?’… ‘Nahi, kuch nahi, we are both going for a jog.’ (Sir, I used to wake up at 4:30 in the morning. Kareena’s room was next to mine. One day, suddenly, the door opened and this gentleman came out. And sir asked, ‘What are you doing?’ He replied, ‘Nothing, we are both going for a jog.)”Saif immediately joined the conversation and tried to continue the same story. He said, “Yes! Early morning jog.”Akshay then added with a laugh, “So he had come to wake her up to go for a jog.”
About ‘Tashan’
Speaking of ‘Tashan’, the film was released in 2008 and was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The action comedy starred Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.Saif and Kareena fell in love while working on the film. After dating for a few years, the couple got married in 2012. They are now parents to two sons, Taimur and Jehangir.Meanwhile, their upcoming film, ‘Haiwaan’ is set to hit the big screens on September 11, 2026.
