The AP POLYCET 2026 Phase 2 (Final Phase) Counselling registration process has started today, July 16, 2026. Qualified candidates who could not participate in the first phase or did not secure a seat earlier can now complete the online counselling process through the official AP POLYCET counselling portal.Candidates participating in the final phase must complete processing fee payment, certificate verification and web option entry within the scheduled timeline. The processing fee can be paid through net banking, credit card or debit card.• Complete certificate verification: Candidates must complete online certificate verification. Those whose documents are not verified online will need to visit a designated Help Line Centre (HLC) with the required certificates.• Enter web options: After verification, candidates can log in and select their preferred polytechnic colleges and branches. Candidates are advised to enter multiple choices to improve their chances of securing a seat.AP POLYCET 2026 examination statisticsThe AP POLYCET 2026 examination witnessed participation from approximately 1.63 lakh students. Out of these, 1,48,950 candidates qualified for admission, recording a pass percentage of 91.37%.For OC and BC category candidates, the minimum qualifying mark is 36 out of 120, which is equivalent to 30%. There is no minimum qualifying mark requirement for SC and ST candidates.Expected Phase 2 cutoff trends and seat availabilityThe closing ranks in the AP POLYCET 2026 Phase 2 counselling are expected to vary depending on the branch, college and reservation category. Government polytechnic colleges may see closing ranks ranging from around 1,500 to above 60,000.Compared with the first phase, Phase 2 cutoffs are generally expected to be more relaxed by around 15% to 30% as seats become available due to withdrawals, non-reporting candidates and unpaid admission fees.Computer Science Engineering (CSE) continues to remain one of the most competitive branches.
