DDCET 2026 results: Thousands of technical and pharmacy diploma holders across Gujarat are on high alert as the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC Gujarat) is highly likely to declare the final results for the Diploma to Degree Common Entrance Test (DDCET) 2026 by the end of May. Following the successful completion of the offline tests earlier this month, the evaluation process is entering its final stages, clearing the deck for lateral entry admissions into the second year (third semester) of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programs.Key Deadlines and Evaluation CompletedThe state-level test concluded with the DDCET Engineering exam on 05 May 2026 and the Pharmacy exam on 09 May 2026. Soon after, the committee published provisional answer keys to ensure transparency, giving students a fixed window to submit grievances. The last date for submitting online objections against the provisional keys was 11 May 2026 for Engineering aspirants and 15 May 2026 for Pharmacy applicants. Following a thorough grievance review by a subject expert committee, the corrected final answer keys were officially rolled out on 20 May 2026, with necessary amended marks applied to student scores.Marking Metrics and Tie-Breaker ProcessThe DDCET scorecard relies strictly on the OMR grading structure. For every correct response, candidates gain +2 marks. However, inaccurate attempts or double-bubbled selections on the OMR sheet carry a negative marking penalty of 0.5 marks. If multiple candidates end up with identical scores in the final tally, ACPC uses a rigid tie-breaker sequence, giving top priority to higher section-wise marks, minimal negative marks, and student age to decide final ranks.Counselling Portal Active: Action Required Without ScoresAn essential advisory has been issued for all exam takers: do not wait for the final scorecard to finish your admission registration. The general ACPC Counselling Portal remains active for Degree Engineering admission profiles, and the hard deadline to submit applications is 31 May 2026. Students can mark their qualification status as “Awaited” or “Appearing” and input their DDCET roll number. The backend server will automatically sync individual scores once the merit ranks launch.
