The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) Post Graduate (PG) and All India Competitive Examinations (AICE) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)/Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) Ph.D. programmes for the academic year 2026-27.The results were announced on August 29, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check and download their scorecards through the official examination website.The examination was conducted on July 4, 2026, at 162 examination centres across 115 cities in the country.A total of 42,110 candidates registered for the examination. Of these, 38,720 candidates appeared for the exams.
How many candidates registered for the ICAR exams?
Of the 42,110 registered candidates, 30,619 were registered for ICAR-AIEEA (PG), while 11,491 registered for ICAR-AICE (JRF/SRF).The category-wise registration details were:
- General: 12,299
- Gen-EWS: 3,456
- Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 15,989
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 6,825
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 3,541
Among the registered candidates, 21,533 were female and 20,577 were male.A total of 38,720 candidates appeared in the two examinations.For ICAR-AIEEA (PG), 28,303 candidates appeared, including 7,809 from the General category, 2,385 from Gen-EWS, 11,343 from OBC-NCL, 4,489 from SC and 2,277 from ST categories.For ICAR-AICE (JRF/SRF), 10,417 candidates appeared. This included 3,409 General category candidates, 879 Gen-EWS candidates, 3,656 OBC-NCL candidates, 1,665 SC candidates and 808 ST candidates.Overall, 19,759 female candidates and 18,961 male candidates appeared for the examinations.A total of 430 candidates with disabilities had registered for the examination.
How to check ICAR results 2026
Candidates can check their results and download or print their scorecards by visiting the ICAR examination website.They will need to log in and follow the instructions given on the website to access their scorecards. Direct link here.The National Testing Agency said the eligibility criteria, self-declaration and other documents of eligible candidates will be verified later as per the rules of the ICAR or the institution where admission is sought.
Answer key challenges were reviewed
Before the results were declared, the question papers, provisional answer keys and candidates’ responses were made available on the NTA website from August 16 to August 18, 2026.Candidates who appeared for the exam were allowed to raise challenges against the provisional answer keys. These challenges were reviewed by subject experts, after which the results were processed using the verified answer keys.Candidates have also been advised to refer to the e-Prospectus and the Admission Policy/Procedure available on the ICAR website for further admission-related information.
