Years ago, famed actor and comedian Dom DeLuise invested around USD 103,000 in a ranch in the Pacific Palisades. For years, he lived in the home he built on the property along with his family. The home remained in his ownership until his passing in 2009, after which it was later sold off with a 6,2000% hike in the price.From a modest purchase in the 60s to a USD 6.49 million windfall, the ranch of the comic icon faced one of the biggest turnovers. Not only that, but the property is now worth a lot more after price hikes and improving real estate opportunities. Here is a look into his property and how the prices were hiked over the course of 53 years.

In 1968, Dom DeLuise bought a Pacific Palisades ranch

The Real Deal reported that Dom DeLuise invested in a plot that he converted into a ranch. The spot was meant to provide the actor some solace from the everyday hustle and bustle of Hollywood life and everything else that comes with being a celebrity. He bought the property located in Pacific Palisades in 1968 for USD 103,000. While not much is known about the original mansion from the 1950s and 1960s, the acting legend DeLuise did reside at the property with his family until his passing in 2009.

Dom DeLuise’s house goes on sale for USD 6.5 million

After his passing, the home remained with his family for years. In 2021, the plot was sold off to an unnamed buyer. The original price at which the home had been bought was USD 103,000, whereas after 53 years, the price ended up increasing tenfold to 6,200%. It was sold for USD 6.5 million. The new owners later demolished the old property where DeLuise had stayed his entire life and, instead, built a more modern and approachable design there.

Dom DeLuise’s plot now valued at USD 21 million

The house is up for sale again; however, this time around, there are a lot more amenities to the property than there used to be before. It is spread over 10,000 square feet over three levels. The three-story apartment also includes six bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and two powder rooms, as well as elevators, a garage, and over-the-top amenities.The property was only finalised this year, with the interior being inspired by European designs, featuring contrasting white oak flooring, high wood-beam ceilings, and a lot of glass that offers views toward the surrounding canyon scenery. With minimalist furniture over a brown and beige backdrop, the home had more amenities installed in the new mansion, including a gym, cold plunge, sauna, steam room, and massage rooms.
