Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ continues its strong theatrical run, adding another milestone to its box office record. The action entertainer collected Rs 3 cr net in India on Wednesday, November 4. The film registered these earnings across 8,004 shows in different languages. Its cumulative domestic net collection has now reached Rs 466.05 cr, while the India gross stands at Rs 545.10 cr.The film’s overseas performance has also contributed significantly to its overall total. It earned Rs 75 lakh from international markets on Day 21, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 276 cr. Consequently, its worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 821.10 cr. The figure is nearly double the estimated lifetime worldwide collection of Vijay’s ‘The Greatest of All Time’ (‘GOAT’).
‘Jailer 2’ Day 21 box office collection
According to Sacnilk, ‘Jailer 2’ recorded an India net collection of Rs 3 cr on its 21st day. This marks a 10.4% decline from the previous day’s earnings of Rs 3.35 cr. Among the different language versions, Tamil continued to dominate the domestic collections.The Tamil version contributed Rs 1.80 cr from 3,584 shows. The Hindi version earned Rs 65 lakh through 3,428 shows, while the Telugu release added Rs 40 lakh from 780 shows. Meanwhile, the Kannada version collected Rs 15 lakh across 212 shows.The film’s first eight days generated Rs 334.35 cr in India net collections, with the gross earnings reaching Rs 391.55 cr. Its second week, covering Days 9–15, brought in another Rs 95.55 cr net and Rs 111.50 cr gross. This represented a 71.4% decline compared to the opening period.During the ongoing third week, the Rajinikanth starrer has collected Rs 36.15 cr net and Rs 42.05 cr gross. Despite the considerable reduction from its opening-week numbers, the film continues to add to its domestic total.
Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ earns nearly twice Vijay’s ‘GOAT’
Another notable aspect of the film’s box office performance is its comparison with Vijay’s ‘GOAT’. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the action thriller reportedly concluded its worldwide theatrical run with an estimated gross collection of Rs 440–460 cr.Its domestic India earnings were estimated at approximately Rs 246–305 cr, with Tamil Nadu alone contributing more than Rs 220 cr. The Kannada version recorded the highest overall occupancy among the four language releases, at 21%. Telugu followed with 17%, while Tamil registered 14.2%. The Hindi version recorded the lowest occupancy at 8%, creating a 13-percentage-point gap between the Kannada and Hindi releases.The Tamil 2D version registered 13.69% overall occupancy, with morning shows at 10.62%, afternoon at 13.77%, evening at 14.46% and night at 15.31%. Tamil Nadu remained the biggest contributor to the film’s Day 21 state-wise gross collection, bringing in Rs 1.45 cr. Karnataka contributed Rs 45 lakh, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added Rs 40 lakh. Kerala recorded another Rs 40 lakh, and the rest of India accounted for Rs 75 lakh.
