Following Kris Jenner’s heartfelt social media note about her mother Mary Jo Shannon’s passing, Khloé Kardashian, the youngest Kardashian sister, also reached out online with her condolences. Sharing a post on her socials, she remembered some of the fond memories she shared with her grandma MJ.
Khloé Kardashian shares tribute post for her grandmother after her passing
Taking to her Instagram account on July 19, along with a series of photos, Khloé Kardashian shared her emotional tribute to her grandmother, Mary Jo Shannon, who passed away a few days ago at the age of 91. She dedicated her note to her grandmother and started it off by saying, “My sweet MJ. Thank you for showing us that life is meant to be celebrated, that laughter is healing, and that love is the greatest legacy we can leave behind. You lived so fully, so gracefully, and so beautifully.”Further on, she talked about how her children knowing their great-grandmother was one of the best things in life, and something that she will forever cherish and be grateful for. Along with the long note, the 42-year-old also shared glimpses of the two of them from over the years. Many of the photos from years ago showed the grandmother and granddaughter duo in their most candid moments, with one including a photo of MJ holding her as a baby.The youngest Kardashian sister further added, “You taught us that love never leaves. It lives on in the family you built, the traditions we’ll continue, the stories we’ll tell, and every time we choose joy. Your love will forever be woven into who we are. Thank you for every lesson, every laugh, every embrace, and every piece of your heart you gave so freely. You were truly one of one.” She further added in the post that she knew just how openly she would have been welcomed in heaven and how she would be meeting their father there as well.Khloé concluded her post by sharing, “I know you’re happy having your coke, tuna sandwich and graham crackers with papa Harry while Karen dances around you. Until we meet again, my sweet MJ! I love you (white heart emoji).”On July 16, Kris Jenner had taken to her social media platform and shared an old photo of her mother, along with the news that she had left for her heavenly abode. Kris Jenner had posted, “Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ,” she wrote on Instagram Thursday, July 16. “There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye. My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters … to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted.” In her post, she also called her the heart of the family and opened up about how much she will miss her.
