Urmila Matondkar‘s ex-husband Mohsin Akhtar, has announced that he has tied the knot once again. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Mohsin shared a series of photographs from his wedding ceremony and introduced his wife, Nidhaa Bhatt, to his followers.Along with the pictures, Mohsin penned a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for finding love again and embarking on a new chapter in his life.“Pure intentions, honest love, and a heart full of sabr and shukur. Keep your soul pure, heal along the way, and trust that Allah’s script is always better. In His perfect time, my gorgeous wifey @nidhab_ ,he rewarded me with your sincerity and blessed me. You brought light in my life. So thank you my love.”Mohsin also paid tribute to a loved one he referred to as “Mouji,” sharing an emotional message alongside his wedding announcement.“And thank you, Mouji, for looking after me from the other side of the world. I know it’s your blessing and your love for me that came like this. Today I know you will be more at peace. I miss you more than I could ever imagine, and I love you. Keep us in your prayers.”The announcement comes months after reports emerged about the end of Mohsin’s marriage to actor Urmila Matondkar. Speculation about trouble in their relationship first surfaced in 2024, with reports later claiming that Urmila had filed for divorce in a Mumbai court in September that year.Urmila and Mohsin got married on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. Their union had attracted considerable attention at the time due to their interfaith marriage and the nearly 10-year age difference between them.Mohsin, a businessman and model from Kashmir, reportedly met Urmila at the wedding of designer Manish Malhotra‘s niece in 2014. The couple’s relationship blossomed soon after, and they eventually exchanged vows in a private ceremony. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra was among the few celebrities present at their wedding celebrations. The couple also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar and later solemnised their union through a Nikah ceremony.Meanwhile, Urmila remains one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actresses. She began her journey in the entertainment industry as a child artiste, appearing in films such as ‘Kalyug’ and ‘Masoom’, before making her debut as a lead actor with ‘Narsimha’ in 1991.
