A blast in Balochistan’s Panjgur district killed two children and left three others injured, The Balochistan Post reported. The incident took place in Fateh Ali Bazaar in Gowargo tehsil, where the children had been playing.According to the report, the children noticed an unidentified object hanging from a tree. The object exploded after it was disturbed, killing two boys aged nine and 10. Three other boys, aged seven, nine and 12, were injured. The nature of the device that caused the explosion remains unclear. However, local sources alleged that it was connected to a quadcopter operated by Pakistani security forces. One source also claimed that explosives had been attached to a military quadcopter and placed in the area. The source further alleged that local journalists were later told to describe the incident as a hand-grenade blast or an explosion involving another device. The Panjgur incident comes amid other allegations of civilian casualties involving military drones and quadcopters in Balochistan. On September 24, four young men were killed and two others injured in an alleged military drone strike in Balicha, Kech, according to The Balochistan Post. Families of those killed said the men had gone there for a picnic and denied claims that they were militants. The incident triggered a boycott of courts across Makran, while lawyers called for an independent probe into the deaths.Earlier on September 18, five civilians were reportedly injured in alleged quadcopter attacks in Balochabad and Bullo in the Mand area, the report said.
