Actress Preity Mukhundhan who was recently seen in the Tamil action thriller ‘Blast’ recently spoke about why she decided to be a part of his film. She also said choosing it was not an easy decision and described it as an unconventional choice.

According to a report by Cinema Express, Preity Mukhundhan during a promotional event for her upcoming theatrical release ‘Idhayam Murali’ said, “Blast was an unconventional decision. Many heroines in my place would have feared to take up a role like this.” She said she had always wanted to play an action role and felt thankful for the love the film received after its release. “I’ve always wanted to do an action-oriented role, so I was extremely happy and grateful for the audience’s response after the release,” she added. Speaking about the film, ‘Blast’ tells the story of a family of fighters who get caught in a larger conspiracy. They are forced to fight against a crime syndicate to protect themselves and survive.

Preity Mukhundhan talks about ‘Idhayam Murali’ role

During the event, Preity Mukhundhan was asked whether her role in ‘Idhayam Murali’ would be similar to Blast, Preity said the two characters are completely different.She said, “I had signed Idhayam Murali even before doing Blast, and my character in this film will be much more pleasant and completely contrasting to what audiences saw in Blast.” Directed by Aakash Bhaskaran, ‘Idhayam Murali’ stars Atharvaa in the lead role. The film also features Kayadu Lohar, Fahadh Faasil, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Angeline. It is scheduled to release in theatres on July 10.

Preity Mukhundhan’s upcoming films

Speaking about her work front, Preity Mukhundhan has several interesting projects lined up. She will be seen in her second Telugu film ‘Emo Emo Idi’, where she stars opposite Roshan Meka. In Tamil, she has ‘Dashamakan’ with Harish Kalyan.
