Sir Anthony Hopkins was born on New Year’s Eve in 1937 in Margam, a suburb of Port Talbot, Wales. His mother was a homemaker, while his father used to work as a baker. As a child, he led a hard life, often defined by his dyslexia, which remained undiagnosed at the time. He was the target of ridicule, and many people bullied him regularly. His academics also suffered a lot because of this. To save himself from the constant chatter, he found his safe haven in theater and the arts.
