Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal has revealed that Salman Khan personally called him after watching the trailer of his upcoming film ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’. According to Raghav, the superstar appreciated the film’s comic tone and felt its humour brought something fresh that has been missing from recent releases.Speaking to IANS, the ‘Kill’ actor recalled that Salman particularly enjoyed one of the trailer’s meta jokes and didn’t hesitate to share his appreciation over the phone.
Salman Khan praised the film’s comic approach
Sharing details of the conversation, Raghav said Salman was impressed by a joke revolving around the popular phrase involving “someone’s brother” and “someone’s life.”“Salman sir also called me after watching the trailer. Because I made a meta joke about ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. So, he liked it a lot. He said, This is missing somewhere. Fresh and young people are not doing it. You have done it. It’s a very good thing,” Raghav shared.
Bond that began with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’
Raghav and Salman developed a close rapport while working together on ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. The actor has often spoken about the admiration and respect he has for Salman, describing their relationship as one that has continued beyond the film’s shoot.Released on April 21, 2023, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ featured Raghav alongside Shehnaaz Gill and marked his first major collaboration with Salman Khan.
What ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ is about
Opening up about his role in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’, Raghav said he plays Ajay Singh, an aspiring actor with enormous confidence but very little talent.He explained, “I am excited about Ajay Singh’s character in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ because he considers himself a very big, talented actor. He thinks he will become a huge superstar, but in reality, he does terrible acting. While trying to prove himself through his bad performances, he keeps getting into trouble. There is chaos throughout the film, and he eventually finds himself in a situation where he has to return the money of a powerful don.“
Inspired by Govinda’s comedy
Raghav also shared that the film is an attempt to revive the family-friendly comedy that audiences associated with Govinda’s films.“Through this comedy, I wanted to bring back the kind of humor we saw in Govinda’s films, something for my parents and for boys and girls from small cities. A film where people can laugh freely, laugh wholeheartedly, and enjoy themselves without holding back,” he said.

Directed by Vivek B. Agrawal, ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Barkha Singh, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vivan Bhatena, Niki Aneja Walia and Vikalp Mehta in key roles. The comedy entertainer is slated to arrive in theatres on July 30, 2026.
