Earlier this month, Robert Keller Kelly’s family confirmed that the beloved actor, who was best known for his stint on ‘Days of Our Lives,’ had passed away. At the time, the cause of his demise as not shared with the public. However, according to recent reports shared online, the actor passed away due to a heart disease.

The Office of the Regional Medical Examiner in St. Charles, Missouri, confirmed to PEOPLE in their latest report that Kelly passed away after suffering from complications due to atherosclerotic heart disease. The actor passed away on Saturday, October 3, after he started experiencing alarming symptoms, which included chest and arm pain.As per the police report that was filed, his wife, Allison Kelly, had shared that around 7:30 PM she had picked the actor up from Spirit Airport. While they were driving home, he started complaining about the symptoms to her. They had also pulled over after Kelly had requested his partner that he wish to throw up. When Allison asked whether he wanted to go to the hospital, according to the report, Kelly had been the one to refuse and tell her that he wanted to rest at home.However, his symptoms kept getting worse after they got home. When she left the room to get him his medication, she returned to find the ‘Days of Our Lives’ star in the room, “unresponsive and not breathing.” While life-saving measures were attempted on the actor, including Allison performing CPR, Kelly’s demise was declared at 9:09 PM.His wife also revealed in the report that the 62-year-old had not suffered from any other health conditions, that there were no symptoms that could have led to this diagnosis, and that the actor had been in a healthy shape.Keller Kelly began his acting career in 1987 after he was cast alongside many other names on the American sitcom ‘Another World.’ Some of his most notable and best-known roles were for playing Bo Brady on ‘Days of Our Lives,’ Sam Fowler and Bobby Reno on ‘Another World,’ and Stavros Cassadine on ‘General Hospital.’
