Saif Ali Khan brought his signature energy to the Indian Army camp in Uri as he joined the soldiers as part of an event. The actor grooved to his popular tracks, shared stories from his career, and spent quality time bonding with the jawans throughout the day. During the interaction at the event, he shared that the whisky glass on head dance was done by him before Bobby Deol in ‘Animal’.

Saif Ali Khan was the chief guest for NDTV’s Jai Jawan 2026 programme and lit up the stage performing his ’90s classic ‘Ole Ole’ along with the chartbuster ‘Pungi’ from ‘Agent Vinod’, a film he starred in alongside Kareena Kapoor. Talking about the making of ‘Pungi’, sung by Mika Singh and composed by Pritam, Saif recalled how much of the performance was unplanned. He shared, “The shoot was interesting. The choreographer told me some moves and then asked me to do the rest on my own. So that was all improvised. And if you remember, the song starts with a whisky glass on my head. And that became so famous in ‘Animal’ when Bobby Deol did it. But actually it all started from this song. It was a trendsetter.”

Beyond the performances, Saif spent time cooking pooris with the jawans in the kitchen and shared a meal with them. He also picked up a guitar to entertain the soldiers, adding a musical touch to the day’s celebrations. The actor visited the Kaman Aman Setu on the Jhelum River, a bridge built by the Indian Army in just six hours. A self-confessed cricket enthusiast, Saif also played a friendly match with the soldiers.
