Shah Rukh Khan has made hearts flutter with his grand romantic gestures on the big screen. But, during an appearance at an event in Mangaluru, the tables turned for the King of Romance.A video going viral from the event, saw a female fan professing her love for Shah Rukh, leaving the audience hooting and cheering her on. During an interactive session, the fan told the King of Hearts, “I love you more than my husband,” prompting hoots from the audience.Visibly amused, Khan replied, “You should have told this privately…”He quickly followed it up with a heartfelt response, saying, “But I know it’s a matter of speech. I understand your feeling, and I’m sure your husband does too. I love you all, I love your husband, I love your family.”The fan then asked the actor her question, “There are thousands of young Mangaloreans watching you today, many of us have this question in our mind, that someone from such a small city like Mangalore, do you think that we can reach extraordinary heights like you. What would you like to tell us? Do you think we can dream big.”Responding with a message of encouragement, Khan reflected on his own journey to superstardom and said, “I think all of you can be fantastic. I’ll be very honest, I come from beginnings which perhaps I also cannot imagine that I will get so much in life. Because of the audience, because of the work that I have done. So the only thing that I will tell all youngsters is, don’t give up on your dreams ever, ever, ever.”The actor then quoted one of the most iconic dialogues from his 2007 film ‘Om Shanti Om’, saying, “Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai.”Sharing what he described as his message to young people, Khan concluded, “Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho, toh poori kaaynaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.”
