‘Angikaaram’ follows a sprinter’s battle
Tamil movie ‘Angikaaram’ tells the story of Aathiran Banumathi, a 200-metre runner who comes from a Chennai slum. His sporting ability helps him secure a place at the Commonwealth Games.His achievement soon turns into a struggle when he discovers that his name has been removed from the roster. Instead of giving up his opportunity, Aathiran decides to challenge the decision. ‘Angikaaram’ is available to stream on SunNXT. The movie received a solid 2.5 star rating out of 5 from ETimes.
‘Mango Pachcha’
Kannada movie ‘Mango Pachcha’ revolves around Prashanth, also known as Pachcha. He earns a living by running a video-rental shop in Mysuru. His circumstances change after he takes control of a secret marijuana-smuggling operation left behind by his late father. His involvement with a corrupt mayor takes him further into the criminal world.The movie explores how Prashanth’s new circumstances begin to alter his life. Viveka has directed the crime drama, which features Sanchith Sanjeev, Kajal Kunder and Prashanth Hiremath. ‘Mango Pachcha’ started streaming on JioHotstar on September 25. ‘Habeebi’
Tamil romantic drama ‘Habeebi’ centres on a young couple whose relationship creates tension within their Muslim community in southern Tamil Nadu. The story looks at the challenges faced by the couple as their relationship comes up against family expectations and established traditions.
