Tara Sutaria got visibly emotional at the trailer launch of Toxic in Bengaluru on Saturday. The actress described the moment as a “dream come true” for the entire team. The event, held ahead of the film’s release, saw Tara joined by co-stars Yash, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth, along with director Geetu Mohandas. Tara Sutaria struggles to find words after the ‘Toxic’ trailer launch

According to the India Today report, speaking to the audience shortly after the trailer was unveiled, Tara Sutaria admitted she was finding it hard to express her emotions. She said, “Hello, everyone, and good evening. It’s such a pleasure to be here in Bengaluru. I’m just so overwhelmed at the moment after watching the trailer.”The actress then turned to an unexpected reference to sum up her journey with the film. When Disney came up during the conversation, Tara recalled a line from a classic fairy tale that she felt matched her experience perfectly. She said, “There’s actually, and because you brought Disney up, a very popular phrase from an old Disney fairy tale, which I think goes something like, ‘A dream is a wish your heart makes,’ and it feels so fitting to ‘Toxic’ and to this fairy tale that we’ve all created.She added that the sentiment extended beyond her own experience to the whole cast and crew. Tara shared, “I think it’s a dream and a wish that all of us have had, I think collectively as a team, to be a part of something and a fairytale of sorts that is really outstanding, exceptional, and something very, very special to all of us in many different ways.”

Keeping her remarks short, Tara Sutaria made it clear how much the project meant to her personally. “I think I’m just, like I said, overwhelmed, humbled, and blessed to be with all of you and to be a part of this incredible story,” she said, before thanking everyone present.

Yash reveals Tara’s role was expanded during filming

Yash also spoke about Tara’s contribution to ‘Toxic’, revealing that the makers decided to give her a bigger part than originally planned. “We, in fact, increased your (Tara) scenes more than what was written because of your fabulous presence and your effort,” he told her at the event.He also praised the quality she brought to the film. Yash added, “Your elegance has added a lot of elegance to our film. Thank you so much for being part of our film.”

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ stars Yash alongside an ensemble cast includes Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The film has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. The film is set to hit theatres on August 26, 2026.
