'I don't like Trisha Krishnan at all': Singer Suchitra Ramadurai calls out 'parasites' in Vijay's life

The alleged relationship rumours between actor-politician Thalapathy Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan have been one of South India’s most talked-about controversies in recent weeks, and now a prominent voice has entered the debate. Singer Suchitra Ramadurai has broken her silence with some of the straightforward remarks yet, pulling no punches about how she feels about both individuals.

Singer Suchitra says she doesn’t like Trisha Krishnan

Singer Suchitra made her position over the Vijay and Trisha Krishnan row crystal clear in a recent interview with Firstpost. She said, “I don’t like Trisha at all. I will tell this objectively and will not let it colour my judgement. I like Vijay very much. I will give my opinion honestly without taking sides.”The singer went further, offering a pointed warning about those she believes may be taking advantage of Vijay’s current personal isolation. She added, “Parasites tend to enter the lives of successful people when they become isolated. Vijay has isolated himself by distancing himself from his parents and wife. He is alone but has done no soul-searching till now.”She added, “Amidst this, he has come into politics; to be honest about it, he needs his father, Chandrashekhar, who may steer him through political waters; otherwise, he would achieve nothing in politics because if any good things can happen to him in politics, they should be supported by his father.”

When Trisha Krishnan chose films over her fiancé

This is not the first time Trisha Krishnan has found herself at the centre of a relationship story. A decade ago, she famously called off her engagement to Chennai-based businessman Varun Manian. She later addressed the breakup directly, tweeting, “Amused by d hazaar speculations doin d rounds, Let it rest people. Happy, single n thankful.”In a subsequent interview, Trisha made her priorities unmistakably clear, “The person I was supposed to marry asked me to stop acting. Instead of films, I chose to put a full stop to my engagement. I will only take a break when I get pregnant. If I am not offered lead roles, I will do characters that suit my image, but I won’t move away from the film industry. My wish is to act until my last breath.”

More about Vijay

Vijay took an oath as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, 2026. His last film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, is yet to arrive in cinemas. The release was delayed due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
