Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal may have finally wrapped up work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Love and War’, but fans will have to wait a few months before they can see the epic romance unfold on the big screens.According to the latest developments on the project, fans may just have to wait it out till November 2026 to watch Ranbir, Alia and Vicky on the big screens. A report on Mid-Day states that although the film’s teaser was initially expected to be unveiled on September 28, coinciding with Kapoor’s birthday, the makers are now planning to delay the release of the clip with another Ranbir starrer.
‘Love and War’ to be attached to ‘Ramayana ‘
The report states that the trailer of the Bhansali epic will be attached to ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, which will see Ranbir in multiple avatars. With plans in place to release the trailer of the romance drama in time for Diwali, the makers are said to be preparing a different asset to release on the occasion of Kapoor’s birthday.A source close to the development alleged that plans to postpone the release of the promotional material, as the final schedule of ‘Love and War’ wrapped up only last week. “Now, Bhansali sir wants to give the teaser a theatrical launch instead, and Ramayana: Part 1 provides the perfect platform. It’s one of the biggest films of Indian cinema, and with Ranbir being the lead in both projects, the teaser of Love & War can create the impact the makers are looking for,” said the source.
‘Love and War’ trailer set for December release
While fans can expect a teaser in November, the film’s trailer is reportedly planned for a late-December release. The film, officially announced in January 2024, faced multiple delays before finally wrapping up this month, in time for its theatrical release on January 21, 2027.

‘Love and War’ will mark the first collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali since the actor’s 2007 debut ‘Saawariya’. While Vicky Kaushal has never worked with the filmmaker, Alia Bhatt teamed up with Bhansali in the 2022 drama Gangubai Kathiawadi.
