‘Vishwanath and Sons’ box office collection day 14 vs ‘DC’

Mamitha Baiju is witnessing a successful run across languages this season. Her Malayalam release ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ continues to attract audiences. At the same time, her Tamil film with Suriya, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’, is also maintaining its position at the box office. The film has now crossed Rs 187 crore in worldwide gross collections.

‘Vishwanath and Sons’ maintains its box office run

According to Sacnilk, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ earned an estimated Rs 1.30 crore net in India on Day 14. The movie recorded 1,414 shows during its second Thursday. Its India net collection has reached Rs 109.15 crore.The film’s India gross currently stands at Rs 126.30 crore. It has also continued to earn from overseas markets. The overseas gross collection has reached Rs 61.25 crore. This takes the worldwide gross of ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ to Rs 187.55 crore.The Day 14 collection was lower than the Rs 2.35 crore net earned on Day 13. The film recorded a 44.7% decline in its daily earnings.

Second week collection reaches Rs 27.55 Cr

‘Vishwanath and Sons’ added Rs 27.55 crore to its India net collection during the second week. The film had collected Rs 81.60 crore net during its opening week.On Day 14, the Tamil version contributed Rs 85 lakhs. It registered 809 shows and recorded 26% occupancy. The Telugu version earned Rs 45 lakhs from 605 shows. Its overall occupancy stood at 23%.The Tamil version recorded its best response during night shows. The occupancy during this period reached 42.67%. Afternoon shows recorded 37.17%. Evening and morning shows registered 26.42% and 24.50%, respectively.The Telugu version had an overall occupancy of 23.75%. Night shows led with 25.33%. Evening shows recorded 19.83%. Afternoon shows registered 19.75%. Morning occupancy stood at 8.08%.

Regional performance of ‘Vishwanath and Sons’

The film recorded an India gross collection of Rs 1.50 crore on Day 14. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 70 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 53 lakhs. Karnataka contributed Rs 15 lakhs. Kerala added Rs 12 lakhs.

‘DC’ crosses Rs 100 Cr worldwide

Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi’s action film ‘DC’ has also crossed an important milestone. The movie has collected Rs 67.64 crore net in India.Its India gross collection stands at Rs 77.89 crore. The overseas gross has reached Rs 23.30 crore. The worldwide gross collection currently stands at Rs 101.20 crore. India accounts for 76.98% of the film’s total collection. Overseas markets contribute the remaining 23.02%.

Tamil version leads ‘DC’ collections

The Tamil version of ‘DC’ has accumulated Rs 47.28 crore in net collections. Its recent daily earnings have remained below Rs 1 crore.The film collected Rs 42 lakhs on Day 18. It then earned Rs 52 lakhs on Day 19. The collection fell to Rs 29 lakhs on Day 20. Day 21 brought in Rs 27 lakhs. The Telugu version has collected Rs 17.90 crore net.
